The Purpose

Create a simple yet powerful daily workflow that keeps you focused, productive, and moving closer to your goals.

The Background

Ever notice that when you focus on something, you start seeing it everywhere? Like when you think about buying a certain car, and suddenly it's all over the road? That’s your brain’s Reticular Activating System (RAS) at work—it helps filter what’s important based on what you focus on.

The same principle applies to your daily work. If you set clear priorities every morning, your brain will naturally seek out ways to accomplish them. But without a system in place, distractions take over, and the day slips away.

That’s why having a structured daily workflow is key. A simple dashboard that highlights your top priorities, key connections, and immediate tasks ensures that you’re always working on what matters most.

The Ingredients

  • A Daily Dashboard (Notion, Trello, or a simple notebook)

  • A clear list of priorities for the day

  • A focus on key relationships (Who do you need to connect with?)

  • A project and task tracker to keep things moving

  • A quick review system to stay on track

The Steps to Implement

  1. Review Big Picture Priorities

    • Each morning, review your big-picture goals and choose 2-3 key initiatives for the day.

    • Keep them visible on your dashboard.

  2. Identify Key People to Connect With

    • Relationships drive success. Each day, note who you need to reach out to—whether clients, team members, or mentors.

    • Use a CRM or simple list to track these connections.

  3. Plan Activities & Projects

    • Break down your priorities into actionable tasks.

    • Assign do dates so you stay accountable.

  4. Check Your Dashboard Throughout the Day

    • Instead of getting lost in emails or distractions, refer back to your dashboard to stay on track.

    • If it’s not on the dashboard, it’s not urgent.

  5. Wrap Up with a Quick Review

    • At the end of the day, check off completed tasks.

    • Move unfinished tasks to the next day’s list.

    • Take 2 minutes to celebrate wins and acknowledge progress.

Preparation Notes

  • Simplicity is key—your system should be easy to use and update.

  • If you find yourself distracted, refocus by checking your dashboard.

  • Use automation where possible (reminders, recurring tasks, CRM integrations).

  • Be flexible—your priorities may shift, and that’s okay.

By setting up a personal daily workflow, you ensure that every day is intentional and productive.

Over time, these small, focused actions will compound into massive results!
